Samantha Fish Portland reviews
Metallica still rocks
"The first time I saw Samantha Fish in concert, I was thrilled with how incredible it turned out to be. The two opening acts weren't really my cup of tea. The second act, Lamb of God, were just screaming and I couldn't make out a single word they were saying. I believe it's called thrash metal or something like that. Samantha Fish could have chosen better opening bands. Next time I attend one of their shows, I'll wait until later to enter if I'm not familiar with the opening acts. Despite the obnoxious drunk person next to me constantly yelling insults, Samantha Fish performed flawlessly, hitting every note perfectly. It's baffling why some people attend concerts just to heckle the performers; if you don't like the music, why not leave instead of ruining the experience for others? Samantha Fish's light show was spectacular, with fire in a variety of colors that I had never seen before. I particularly enjoyed the stage setup, with the band performing on all sides so everyone had a chance to see them. However, I was unimpressed with the excessive security measures at the venue. It felt like I was going through airport customs, having to remove my shoes and belt. Despite arriving at 6:00pm, it took over an hour to finally get inside, but at least that meant I missed most of the opening act."
